Obituary of Velma E. Parker

Velma Elizabeth Parker, age 84, of Roach, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at her residence in Roach. Velma was born July 8, 1926 in Falcon, Missouri, the daughter of Vestal and Eva Jane (Heath) Randolph. Velma was united in marriage on April 2, 1958 in Miami, Oklahoma to Kenneth Parker, and together they had lovingly shared the past 52 years until her death. Velma had been an Avon Representative in the Macks Creek area for over 25 years. She was a loving wife who loved her family dearly, and enjoyed her time being a homemaker. Velma also enjoyed her life on the farm and loved all the animals. In her spare time she enjoyed time spent gardening and canning the fruits of her labor. She loved her church, First Baptist Church of Macks Creek and her church family there. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Velma is survived by her loving husband Kenneth, of the home; two sisters, May Calton of Lebanon, Missouri and Ruby Piercy and husband Herschel of Hartford City, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Don Ray Williams.
