Carmella Millie Jean Slaughter, age 86, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the Windsor Estates Nursing Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
Millie was born February 4, 1924 in Yonkers, New York, the daughter of Anchilles Albert and Madeline Salzano Apicelli.
She was united in marriage on December 10, 1944, in New York City, to Hugh F. Slaughter, who preceded her in death on January 11, 1981.
Millie, along with her husband, owned and operated United Farm Insurance Agency in Camdenton, for nineteen years. She was a member of St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Camdenton. Millie adored her family and loved preparing Italian meals for them which had been passed down from previous generations. Now in turn, her children and their families enjoy those same Italian recipes passed on from her.
