Obituary of Lola M. Franklin

Lola M. Franklin, age 76, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri. Lola was born April 13, 1934 in Tuscumbia, Missouri, the daughter of Jack and Ruby (Snelling) Wickham. She was united in marriage on March 21, 1954 in Knob Noster, Missouri, to Chet Franklin who preceded her in death. Lola graduated from Osage High School and after marrying, had spent her life as a homemaker and helpmate to her husband. She enjoyed gardening and making ceramics, but more than anything she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and spending time with them. She was a member of Ulman Baptist Church. Lola is survived by her sons, Tom Franklin and wife, Desta, of Osage Beach, Missouri and Scott Franklin and wife, Karen of Odessa, Missouri; three brothers, Gary Wickham of Brumley, Missouri, Jimmie Wickham and wife, Connie, of Brumley, Missouri, and Danny Wickham and wife, Katie, of Kaiser, Missouri; three sisters, Colleen Graham and husband, Perry, of Kaiser, Missouri, Mary Esther Collins of Kansas City, Missouri, and Elaine Crowell and husband, Darrell, of Springfield, Missouri; five grandchildren, Joe Franklin, Kayla Jones, Erich Franklin, Dustin Franklin, and Danielle Franklin; one great-grandchild, Serenity Jones; along with several other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Chet.
