Obituary of Belvia Lockwood Cooper
Belvia Lockwood (Hendricks) Cooper, age 90, of Brumley, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Mrs. Cooper was born February 03, 1920 in Ulman, Missouri, and was married in 1936 to Herman Cooper in Tuscumbia, Missouri. She was the daughter of James and Jessie (Coan) Hendricks.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Herman; a son, Herbert T. Cooper; brother, Bruce M. Hendricks; sisters, Olga Sparks, Alta Petty, and Eunice Myrick; grandchildren, Karen Denise Cooper and Ronnie Cooper.
Her survivors include two sons, William Walker Cooper and wife, Sharon, of Bellingham, Washington and Dennis E. Cooper Sr. and wife, Diane, of Brumley, Missouri; one sister, Dora Anderson of Central Point, Oregon; five grandchildren, Kathy Waters, Donna King, Dennis Cooper, Jr., Doug Cooper and Jimmy Cooper; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Belvia had been a hard worker all her life. She was a homemaker and helpmate to her husband and also worked at Howard Johnson�s for many years. She enjoyed making quilts and also loved to travel, as she made many trips to the west coast to visit friends and family.
