Obituary of Mary A. Godinez

Mary A. Godinez, age 87, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach. Mary was born January 23, 1924, in Benton, Illinois, the daughter of John and Mary (Ashley) Easley. She was united in marriage, to Antonio Godinez, who preceded her in death in 1973. Mary loved writing letters to family and friends. She was an avid reader and loved books. She enjoyed needlepoint, playing bingo and other games with her friends at the nursing home. She is survived by a daughter Linda Whelan and husband, Tom, of St Louis, Missouri and one son Pete Godinez of Ft. Meyers, Florida; son-in-law Tom Anderson of Osage Beach, Missouri; granddaughter Toni Gill and husband, Randall, of Atlanta, GA; great-granddaughter Katie Marie Gill, along with several other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Antonio, and daughter Patricia (Pat) Anderson.
