I was very sorry to hear that George had passed away. George was a gentle, soft spoken man, and always had a smile on his face and a pleasant story to tell you. I always enjoyed getting to see George when he would drop by my parents house over Christmas, while I was back in the KC area visiting my parents.
Many years ago (when I was in college) George helped me get a job with the railroad one summer. The railroad hired a group of college kids for the summer, to do extra work (manual work :-) on the railroad. I really enjoyed working there that summer, and getting to see George several times. And I should add that without George putting in a recommendation for me, I would have never gotten the job on the railroad. That was an act of kindness that I would never forget.
To all of the family, you are in my prayers during this time of grieving.
And to George, thanks for being a good Uncle, I will miss you.
