Obituary of Darrell Wayne Barton

Darrell Wayne Barton, 68, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021 at his home in Eldon. 

Darrell was born July 20, 1953. 

Darrell proudly served as a Vietnam Naval veteran on the U.S.S. Enterprise 1971 to 1975. He was a great outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and passed those skills on to his children and grandchildren who are also excellent outdoorsmen. Darrell was highly skilled as a woodsman, and loved spending time in the woods. He also enjoyed golf and spending time with his friends on the bowling team.

He loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of the local HOG chapter. Just last year, he and his wife Candy traveled more than 4,000 miles on their motorcycles.

Darrell married the love of his life, Candy McDonald, in 1978 and they were together for 43 years. Together they have three children, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Darrell was a kind and gentle person who never met a stranger. He was loved by all who knew him, and he will be sadly missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.
