Obituary of Phillip E Tomson

Phillip E. Tomson, age 65, of Brumley, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, at his home.

 

Phillip was born on September 23, 1958, in Tuscumbia, Missouri. He was the son of James William Tomson and Lora Faye (Murray) Tomson.

 

On February 4, 1994, Phillip was united in marriage to Maryellen Usher in Miller County, Missouri. They shared over 29 years of marriage together at the time of his passing.

 

Phillip was a proud United States Navy Veteran, enlisting twice and serving 9 years in the United States Military. He was an avid outdoorsman. He thrived being outside and was a true man of nature. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Phillip was an incredibly talented craftsman and took woodworking very seriously. He was a designer and creator of masterpieces. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

 

Phillip is survived by his wife Maryellen Tomson; daughters, Elizabeth Faye Tomson and Annie (Dustin) Metzner; brothers, Melvin (Cheryl) Tomson, Ronsol (Martha) Tomson, and Tommy Tomson; grandchildren, Justin, Jasmine, Malakhi, Emmalee, and Hadlee; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

 

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents James William and Lora Faye Tomson; his brother Charles Tomson and wife Suzanne; and his beloved daughter Shannon Marie Tomson.
